Xbox One X review
The Xbox One X is a lavish 4K HDR console with some storage issues.
Xbox One X does what no gaming console has done before: real gaming in true 4K with HDR.
Although the games look incredibly good with a fantastic wealth of detail enhanced by the console’s support for HDR, the large file sizes mean that the measly 1 TB hard drive quickly fills up.
Insufficient storage capacity aside, the Xbox One X still manages to deliver on the promise of 4K HDR gaming. It is currently the most lavish gaming experience you can have on a game console.

Xbox One X is the console of the future. Not only is it the most powerful gaming console out there right now, it looks set to retain that title for the rest of this console generation.
Before you pull out all the tables and lists and tell us about the lack of exclusive games or send a bunch of messages informing us that the PS4 is at least as good a console (which we agree with), we need to look at the facts first: Xbox The One X boasts an octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, paired with 12GB of GDDR5 RAM. It also has a graphics processor with clock speeds of 1172 MHz, giving you six teraflops of graphics processing power.
That’s a lot of power for a console.
However, it’s something the Xbox One X needs as it plays some titles in true 4K resolution, sometimes even at 60 frames per second. It also supports gaming in HDR for games in the HDR10 format and also supports Dolby Vision video streaming.
For all picture and sound fans, this is the only platform where you will find a built-in 4K Blu-ray player that supports Dolby Atmos, a more detailed sound format than 7.1 surround sound.
Despite all this, however, it is not perfect.
The hard drive, currently locked at 1TB, fills up faster now that most games require 4K resolution texture packs.
